According to this news segment from
CTV News Atlantic, Soccer NB is still agitating for a franchise for the CPL based in Moncton and playing at the 10,000 seat Moncton Stadium.

Jonathan McInnes (the reporter) also states that the CPL intends to hold an information session for potential investors in Moncton later this summer.
So, the local promoters at least have the ear of the CPL. It will be an uphill battle though. Moncton is lucky enough to have an appropriate venue which has proven itself already with a couple of FIFA sanctioned events, including the Womens World Cup. The main issue will be finding investors for the venture. The two richest men in town are already franchise owners (Wildcats - QMJHL & Magic - NBL). They
are rich enough to also consider investing in the CPL too, the question is whether or not they would want to.........
