According to latimemachines.com, Lucca was indeed at 5th and Western and owned by "Bert Rovere, who also
owned the Paris Inn. The restaurant could accommodate 500 patrons. It also had a store and something
called a 'poker chip' bar." No explanation of what exactly made the bar unique.

Per LAPL caption, this photo was taken on December 21, 1937. Only thing is--I don't think
there are enough "LUCCA" signs, do you? How would you ever find it?
