I don't disagree, but taken in context for what it is - a glorified strip mall - I don't think it comes across as being all that bad, Disneyfied or not. It's not trying to be authentic, just different, and at least somewhat interesting.

Now, if this was placed in the middle of an historic district and given the job of blending in with surrounding heritage structures, then in my book it would be a huge fail.
