Many buildings in the city have been called the snazziest in the city, some hotels like the Plaza, Waldorf, Sherry-Netherlands etc, and some buildings like the Chrysler and the Empire State. BUT with a doubt the snazziest (and most colorful) building in the city is the Fashion Building. The Fashion Building was built in 1930, at a height of 720 feet. Located at the northwest corner of 5th Avenue and 51st Street, and while not the tallest in the land it is quiet colorful. It contains 52 floors, and the most unique and colorful thing of all is that it was constructed using a different colored facade of various ornate bricks (masonry).
