People joke about being hermits in the modern era, but for most people it's really bad to be socially isolated. Which is one of the weird ironies of this as compared to most things - generally those who have better social connections tend to be healthier than the isolated.

It's funny given that it's never been easier to be social while still physically isolating yourself. But people just want to have that close, in-person contact even if they know the risks.
I know this is grim, but the cold reality is that there will probably be more than a few moms (older ones in particular) who will be getting trips to the hospital as belated Mother's Day gifts...
