Its funny how people just 'accept' things.

I mean, I'm not suggesting your lack of stat holidays is matter tragic urgency.

But in Sask. they get 3 weeks paid by law, and 10 Stats, and I think if you cut that in 1/2 tomorrow people would throw an unholy fit.

While in Australia, a country very comparable to our own, not particularly left-leaning, they require 4 weeks paid; and even the hard working Japanese take 13 stat. holidays.

But most people seem to not notice or not mind getting much less.

Odd. (to me, anyway) I love my time off! And I love my job, how much more do people who hate their job need the time away?

What holidays do you get anyway?

In Ontario its:

New Years - Jan
Family Day - Feb
Good Friday - Mar/April
Victoria Day - May
Canada Day - July
Labour Day - Sept
Thanksgiving -Oct
Christmas - Dec
Boxing Day - Dec

Most people also get the first Monday in May off, but that is not required by law, its known by various as the Civic Holiday/Simcoe Day/ Col By Day
