These pioneering superslenders were always gonna have issues. It's the price of progress and it assures future buildings greater reliability from lessons learned.

Still, some of the these issues definitely seem like they should have been anticipated. A building so tall is a living thing; it oscillates with the wind, expands & contracts with temperature changes and even sways in the case of mild earth tremors imperceptible on the ground. Especially the elevators are gonna have flexing issues. I've been saying it since day one, and I hold no engineering qualifications except basic sense.
