It was only after I made my post that I zoomed out and looked at the area in 3D. From my brief look at the entrance to Horizon Hills, it looked like a small fire had taken out the sign. The site opposite was cleared and being rebuilt, but that's nothing unusual in these hillside neighborhoods. With a longer view I could see that every other house was either missing or in ruins.
