I really don't care what they think of the area out there. I mean sure it would be great if it was better, but it isn't and it won't be unless the race survives a good 15-25 years.

The vast majority of those going to the race will be using shuttles from inside Austin or San Antonio to reach the race. And those that don't use shuttles from inside Austin/SA will will probably be driving or taking a helo from either Austin or Lake Travis.

This area will not be the only part of Austin they will see. I imagine most all of the visitors will get to experience Austin and what it offers. Given that the track is built in one of the worst areas of Austin, it really can't be hidden or swept under the rug.
