It looks like another big project in Southeast Albuquerque is moving forward. Max Q at Kirtland will proceed with its first phase and break ground early next year after completing its lease agreement with the Base. Max Q will be located on KAFB land along Gibson Boulevard that was formerly within the gate. The developer says they have a government tenant lined up already for one of the office buildings. Phase one will include office, retail and hotel. Phase one will cover 20 acres and the overall development is 70 acres. The developer has previously described it as a mix of the ABQ Uptown lifestyle center and Sandia Science & Technology Park.
