Gaming Operations to More than Double in Size
Flamboro Downs operations deal to add 1,650 jobs

The current operator of Flamboro Downs has been selected to run a "bundle" of gaming facilities west of the Greater Toronto Area.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced Tuesday that Great Canadian Gaming Corporation will handle the operations of four facilities.
That includes Flamboro Downs, Casino Brantford, Mohawk Racetrack and Grand River Raceway.
Great Canadian is partnering with Clairvest Group Inc. in the effort. The Ontario Gaming West GTA Limited Partnership will see Great Canadian owning 55 per cent of the assets and Clairvest 45 per cent.
Tuesday's announcement is a result of the OLG's request for proposals to a secret list of "pre-qualified proponents" who bid to run gaming operations in the area.
This is part of the province's overhaul of gaming in Ontario.
The West GTA partners say they're planning "significant capital investment" at all four gaming properties that will lead to 1,650 new jobs.…
Clairvest and Great Canadian say the four locations include more than 2,500 slot machines, roughly 60 table games and more than 1,400 staff.
