Living in old city, while there continues to be quality restaurants pop up off of market, market Street from 2nd to 4th has filled in with fast food garbage and is essentially a shitty food court.

When AT&T took the prime corner @ 3rd and market, I knew it was over for that stretch. It's depressing.
chains and cell stores can pay the rents. No one should be surprised. Start up restaurants and local purveyors often can't pay rents in "hot" areas.
