We've visited the area surrounding today's Julius Shulman post many times, but I'm not sure if we've seen this store. It's "Job 2089: Burke, Kober and Nicolais, Desmond's (Pasadena, Calif.), 1955". Here's a selection.

This appears to be the original building at 440 S Lake Avenue. It's opposite the old Bullock's Art Deco store. On the far right of the first image you can just see a little of the Union Oil Gas Station which I posted about in post #37581.
