I'm up to about page 150 in my trip down dual-memory lane (one for the history of this thread, the other for the history of L.A. therein) when a post caught my attention, leading to some independent sleuthing. That lead to my discovery that there was apparently a 4-block long viaduct from the rear of the P.E. Building, ending at-grade at San Pedro street. Several rounds of photo searches confirmed the viaduct but not its size. Finally, I uncovered a schematic of P.E. tracks in and out of the P.E. Building and, indeed, the viaduct was four blocks long. Who knew?
I thought I had something original to post here. Until I looked at the photo credit.
This very thread. Page 256 (still in my future). Post 5115.
Damn, you guys are good!
