I get that, about the accent. It's so much more pronounced in MI (even among Detroit newscasters) but it's definitely there in Windsor.
I hope the same thing re: Trump's rhetoric so far. He can bluster on about killing free trade deals (like NAFTA) that have been supposedly detrimental to American jobs, but it's been more than two decades and the economies of the three countries have adapted and moved toward maximizing efficiencies, and become co-dependent in many industries. This is especially true for the Can-U.S. auto industry.
