The
Coquihalla was a one off - before and since. Even before and during construction the
Coquihalla was controversial because of cost and the scale of its scope.
That said, they are spending a lot on the Kicking Horse rebuild. It is the the first time a non-urban highway has been built at a scale reminiscent of the
Coquihalla.
