There is a fine line between an immersive experience and segregation though. Surely solutions can be found by having the boards work collaboratively together instead of building silos.

I hate to be as provocative as Lio but in a minority setting like all of Ottawa now is for francophones, exposure to English for kids is almost like cyanide for their French skills.
The francophone school boards know this as they have all the studies and all the stats.
It's a question of basic survival.
