It'll be a while before we see that extended to Hamilton. CN (and CP) would have a say. So unless Metrolinx is able to get its own tracks here, doubtful we'll see it happen. Perhaps battery-electric trains at some point, but that would be a long time into the future.
Just getting frequent diesel service to connect to the "end of the line" would be a win.
