It's nice but I feel regret when I see more resources being pushed into a system that basically makes the actual outdoor streetscape less lively and less safe. +5 in Calgary, Skyways in MSP, Ped bridges in Atlanta, etc. All have the same effect of deadening the street and containing the life of the city in the private sphere.

I mean, I know -- without it, would downtown be even deader, would downtown tenants just pull up if it wasn't there, winnipeg is cold, yadda, yadda. i get that we can't get rid of it but i have trouble celebrating it
