I was on the phone with one of the civic political parties, and asked if they had seen "Vancouver is Dying." No, they said, but that everyone was talking about it!!
But NOT because they had seen it; they hadn't. * But because Aron Gunn (who I hadn't heard of before) was a right-wing neo-this and that and could not be trusted.
I watched it, and I found it unbiased in that no racial demographic was ever targeted or even mentioned, but statistics were given showing the extreme rise in random attacks, also in the West Side and Kits.
A lot of concern was given to the DTES, the crime and drug issues there, and the apparently flawed city and provincial government approach to this. For me, it seemed very objective.
But people see the name Aaron Gunn and are immediately biased. I would suggest simply watching it before jumping to any conclusions about it, or boycotting it because Aaron Gunn produced it.
