I see nothing wrong if they want to incorporate a couple of distinctive features of the current library, but really, what is there? The aluminum screening on the north wall of windows is about it. However, I think they do need to keep the 'remnants' of the 1912 library, if possible. That library was built with a big donation from American steel magnate and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie ($50,000 in 1910!). He contributed funds to help establish many libraries across Canada (as well as Carnegie Hall in New York City).
