I wondered about the changes as well, but I don't think it's affected the overall height. You compared the two designs here, but note that the cloud is lower in the first image than it is in the 2nd, so of course, your line will hit at a higher point in the 2nd image. Not to mention the two images aren't lined up with the one on the right being lower.

Also, they totally copy/pasted that cloud in both renders, perhaps in an attempt to throw us off with a decoy cloud?
