Most results seem to point only to Portland (PDX). Anyways I went through the rabbit hole and it seems like carpeted airports are a marketing ploy to make them more "homely" so that passengers are "comfortable" and surprise surprise, comfortable passengers spend more money at shops while waiting for their flight!
