And that’s the trick. Finding a site with the zoning to allow something like this to get built without having to go though the ridiculous approvals process. It’s not the size (it’s a relatively small tower) or the height (no height limits in Midtown or Downtown). It’s the other 500 zoning regulations that resort in pretty much every new tower being variations on a box with setbacks as it rises. The Affirmation Tower design really does turn things upside down. And while people - even on this forum - may complain about the typical, boxy towers that usually get built, they are SHOCKED to see something like this, which is in reality another boxy tower. That’s why, even though they are determined to see it built, this site is key.
