My first impression too. The wall beneath the twin trees already looks precarious. A couple of good rain events and the toe of that bank is in grave danger of disappearing; then the wall. Knowing how Shoal Creek floods after 30 years in Austin, this just does not look like a long term solution. Perhaps the city has a plan to come back and reinforce the bottom. I certainly hope so.
