I don't think what's what eastvanmark is talking about. Because SF not only has higher commercial property taxes, it also has an additional lease tax on top charged solely to the leasee.
As this thread is about the Civic Election, and as eastvanmark was referencing taxes, I assumed he was talking about the taxes that are (mostly) determined by the elected councillors. There's nothing City Council can do about any other taxes that the Province or federal government chose to charge businesses.
