I think I prefer this slightly different rendering with a new street behind the super long and skinny apt buildings behind this project. Does anyone know more about this?

Fully finished this would be a huge change for that part of the city. With the Post District across the street to the east, EVO Campus, Pacific Yard, and INDUSTRY Phase II to the south, and the RDA/UofU Innovation District planned for Station Center to the North, this area is gonna be amazing!
It’s also gonna be really important cause the 500 to 600 South blocks act as the entry and exit for many people into and out of the city because of the freeway, so it sets our first and last impressions. Which is why it would be sooooo nice to get rid of all those hideous billboards along there.
