Is wood faster to erect? (mind the pun there lol). I'd think a builder could pre-assemble walls and simply bring them on site for quick installation.

Panelized wood structures are a thing. I saw a few of them when I worked in precast, where they were typically hollowcore floors on top of structural wood. I think that combo was attractive because precast by itself meets a 2hr fire rating for the floors. But man, those panels were pretty much solid wood lol. They did go up faster than traditional framing. We also did the same approach with panelized steel stud walls. Very similar approach to a total-precast structure, but lighter/cheaper.

Now I'm in steel, and we're also seeing a increase of wood in hybrid structures, though I haven't worked on any to have much insight.
