Perhaps they can do one of those temporary decks along Augusta, either for seating or to replace sidewalk used as the patio. I'd hope CU or whoever ends up managing the new builds would let them make it longer across their properties.
Ideally I'd love to see that block closed to vehicles. Or at least the eastern half of it. Let the pubs have part of the street.
