That's much more than 15 miles. That's probably around like marker 33 in Angeles crest. That's about 35 miles from downtown. I literally just did the drive an hour ago as I was hiking up there and go up very often and live in downtown. The best is on clear days after rain, you can see downtown, the ocean and Catalina Island clearly from the front range and mount Wilson. Mount Wilson to Catalina gotta be 75 miles or so
