Here are the 2020 county census estimates:

1. Ada 494,399
2. Canyon 237,053
3. Kootenai 170,628
4. Bonneville 122,134
5. Bannock 88,795
6. Twin Falls 88,411
7. Bingham 47,202
8. Bonner 46,817
9. Latah 40,830
10. Nez Perce 40,755
11. Madison 40,318

Ada County should surpass 500,000 people this year. Canyon should hit 250,000 in two years. Kootenai went over 170,000 residents and Bonneville went over 120,000 residents over the past year. Latah passed neighboring Nez Perce as the 9th most populous.

Boise should hit 800,000 in two years. Coeur d'Alene will pass 175,000 next year.
