I don’t really care about why WFH—partial or not—is happening. That’s not up to me, that is up to companies. All I care about is the perspective of a downtown business, restaurant, or office landlord who has relied on certain volumes of workers/foot traffic and patrons in order to plan their budgets. Really no reason why this discussion needs to get you so worked up.
Here is what you said:

^ I realize this, but you are also failing to acknowledge the downstream repercussions of an even small dip in human volume in downtown offices.
And here is what I said:

Actually, no I didn't. I never once stated anything about repercussions to the local economy even with a hybrid office model. Please stop putting words in my mouth. You'd have to be a complete fucking idiot to not realize that there's repercussions. You are confusing me telling you what the reality of a lot of businesses are post pandemic with work arrangements with "everything will be back to normal for the local economy around these offices!" which I never once stated. Contrary to popular belief, I can tell you what the reality of a post pandemic work arrangement will be without having to insert my own opinion about how it's not going to get things completely back to normal as they were pre-pandemic.
Perhaps worked up. You're right - I never addressed it. I also don't have to address it because such a thing is too fucking obvious to have to delve into 3 paragraphs about how there's repercussions of some company post-pandemic only having 600 of their 1200 workers in the office on any given work day instead of the 1200 pre-pandemic. I mean, this is pretty obvious. I'm also not a journalist - perhaps if I was then you'd have a point on how lazy I am in my articles.
