The Outaouais has a rich history that could fill any museum. From the indigenous beginnings, to the founding of Wrightsville, before Bytown, the lumber industry, the Great Fire of 1900, the allumettières and the labour battles, corruption at City Hall and the police during the le Petit Chicago era, the demolition of a huge chunk of the city for Federal offices. That's just Hull. Gatineau and the rural areas of the Outaouais have their own interesting histories.
I wish such a project came to Ottawa. The Bytown Museum is far too small for the City's history.
