These kind of initiatives take guts and it's hard to criticize but really a regional history of Gatineau museum?!? This is more of a room in city hall kind of thing than $30 million dollars no? I mean is there even a successful equivalent in much more touristed and frankly historically interesting cities in Canada?

Weird timing too as museums are on the brink of bankruptcy. For that kind of money I am sure you could get a room at the most visited NCC museum that happens be a museum of history at least in title and located in Gatineau.
