The first week they will be taking out anything that belong to the city like the brand new parking payment machines. They will need to put up fencing, block the driveways, remove the asphalt, move in construction trailer/office and the important portable toilets, etc.
Then the pile driving around the outside of the building to keep everything out from falling in and then they start digging. Hopefully the don't find any surprise like an underground stream. I would be extremely happy if they get above ground by this time next year!

Hopefully they won't be stuck in a Big Damn Hole like the Cobalt building has
I go right past the lot every Saturday to go volunteer, so this'll be very fun to watch develop over the next few months
