Given all the development in that area, perhaps it won't be long before it's sold and something is proposed. Along with the parking lot just to the east of it.

I been saying this for years. There is no place for a single floor drive thru fast food chain with parking lot in the very heart of the downtown core. Don't get me wrong I love fast food and I especially love A&W but you are correct this belongs in a walk-in storefront version like you see all over downtown Toronto. This is a prime location for redevelopment with commercial/food at street level and mixed use above. Hell a row of fast food outlets would make a killing here when the new Mac residence is built across the street.
But anything is better than the current use of that location!
