The jobs really need to follow. The people I've talked to are really struggling to find their like of work in Hamilton. The offices are still empty unless it's a niche business, and a lot of people work for big companies. We need an anchor office downtown like IBM, CIBC, Google, something. Waterloo is killer on the tech scene because everyone wants to work down the street from Google.

My hope was that LRT plus these types of developments would spur that attraction since our city is so bad at doing that. LRT and these investments would organically attract this, but we may have to rely on condos alone unfortunately.
