I could have sworn there was some sort of City Landmark plaque before. But now I don't see it anymore on streetview, just a plaque on the north facade indicating it used to be the Armed Forces Examining and Entrance station. I guess I was wrong
It was designed in 1946 by Alfred S. Alschuler, but not originally a City landmark.
