So FYI the upgrade of highway 97, the backbone of the Okanagan, through Peachland to 4 lanes (the last remaining 2 lane stretch between Vernon and Penticton) has essentially been cancelled by the NDP.

So after years of studies and open houses they instead will partake in minor intersection upgrades with the option for a bypass or full upgrade in.......... 20 years...

Seriously, would this not have been an appropriate Covid19 stimulus project for the Okanagan?

Do the NDP really have no balls or ability to make a decision on a route when it comes to highway upgrades?

Or are they just giving the Okanagan area the finger?

The Chase twinning project was reduced in length and had an interchange converted into 2 protected T intersections...

The long delayed Boucherie Road project also looks to be decreased in scale through the cryptic wording available (originally included a mini interchange at Westlake Road, but now that is likely removed and will remain at traffic light).
