Plans are to use many of the existing rock socketed caissons - 7 pairs are tied off near the surface in sets around the hole, another 9 (?) are topped off at the bottom of the hole, what was intended as the lowest (7th) level of the underground parking.
There is a 70' + deep wall around the entire site, and dozens of "smaller" caissons throughout the site.

And that soil has a distinctly smokey smell to it, landfill from the fire.
