I'm drawing a blank on the Bur-Mar Hotel.
I posted this about the Bur-Mar Hotel back in 2014. It was at 514 S Figueroa. The demo permit was issued just a few months after this picture was taken.

Looking at the CDs, it became the Bur-Mar Hotel around 1938 (the 1938 CD actually lists it as the Burmar Hotel). Before that it was the Mecca Apartments/Mecca Hotel/Hotel Mecca.

The white building with columns is the Bur Mar Hotel, so, using the 1956 CD (below), the dark wooden building next to it must be the St Dunston Apartments. If these apartments are the ones on the left of Tetsu's picture, then could the little house have belonged to Ray F Allman?
