Alright, carry symptomatic tests on priority and then asymptomatic testing with second priority or at least pool testing of asymptomatic cases before allowing institutional quarantinees to go for home quarantine.
This news says 10% of transmission is through asymtomatic infectees. 96% of active cases in the state is asymtomatic. Hence out of 100 people,
Symtomatic transmission by 4
Asymtomatic transmission by 10% of 96 = 9.6 approximately
Percentage of transmission through symtomatic infectees = (4/(4+9.6))x100
In effect, 30% of next contact infectees will be through symptomatic infectees and 70% will be through asymtomatic infectees.
In conclusion, we are focusing on avoiding only 30% of transmission by focusing on symptomatic infectees.
