Shouldn't VIA purchase track that they use rather than allow it to be abandoned? This seems to be the perfect opportunity to gain control, priority and have the right to make track improvements as funds become available. This is exactly what happened between Coteau and Ottawa and Ottawa and Brockville, which is now the poster child for the HFR concept.
