That's what I had heard late last year when he started ripping it down. But I don't know for sure, since it's not exactly a large piece of property. The roadway of that neighbouring complex ends basically at the barn so there might be room to build 4 more units there, 2 on each side of the road. Apparently, he had a demo permit 12 years ago but it expired before he got around to it. This was right in the crush of the credit crunch and recession so maybe that affected his plans at the time and who knows what else he had going on since. Funny but not surprising though that he got the permit back then and the city never batted an eye or did anything since, until this.
