ACROSS FROM RESORTS WORLD, MANDALA PROPOSES 31-STORY COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT HOTEL DESIGNED BY BLUR WORKSHOP

Manada Holdings has submitted new plans to build a Courtyard by Marriott hotel across from the Omni.
Architect Blur Workshop of Atlanta is designing the 31-story hotel tower. Blur is also designing the Virgin Hotel proposed on South Miami Avenue in Brickell.
The hotel is proposed to have 269 lodging units. Also included will be 28,261 square feet of meeting rooms, ballrooms and restaurant space, and 16,131
square feet of leased office space.
Mandala had previously submitted plans by Miami architect Allan Shulman for the property. A building on the site has already been demolished by the developer.
No parking will be built as part of the development, and it will instead be provided offsite.
Miami’s Urban Development Review Board will review the proposal on November 20.
