I was just walking back to my office across the expressway on Adams and it struck me--what would it take to get some kind of fencing that would make that pedestrian experience more pleasant crossing the expressway (from Van Buren to Fulton)?:

More and more people are living and working on either side of the expressway, it could do a lot to draw foot traffic East-West and vice versa.

But ideally some kind of hardy vine plant? I don't know, my knowledge of the options is limited but the point of some kind of fencing stands.
