Swoop is an ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC). When you buy a ticket, you get a seat and seat belt. You pay for the rest. Each bag and carry-on bag has a charge. Only a single personal bag if free. You pay for your seat selection. All airlines but Southwest charge for a seat. You pay for your meal and coffee (you can take your own on board).

When you search for a low price, you have to add all of your costs not just the flight. You have to add your seat, bag(s), meal, parking, type of transportation to the airport, time on the road to get there and your return trip etc…

When you book with any low cost carrier, make sure you read all of the fine print, all of the rules including when check in closes, when you should be there, baggage rules etc. and you won’t have a problems.

If you expect nothing but a seat and seat belt, you will not be disappointed.

I am off to Halifax in July and I am paying, everything in, half of what Westjet, Porter and Air Canada was charging just for the airfare. Flair was a couple dollars cheaper but travelling out of Toronto is more expensive in total and they were not daily. I lost a day on my trip. I am paying for 4 tickets so there was a considerable saving to fly Swoop out of Hamilton.

This will be my 4th trip with Swoop since they started. 3rd to Halifax and a trip to Tampa.

I have yet to be disappointed!
