They need to force public parking to be available in the basements of these buildings and willing to pay for it.

Im an advocate for cycling, and walkable streets, but the reality is that Hamilton isn't at the point where a ton of employable people live downtown. Even in Toronto, one of the most transit, cycling and walking friendly cities, there is lots of parking available. If Hamilton wants to kill it's downtown revival and attract zero jobs they'll forget about parking. So I expect our council to do just that.
