Yes, ground-level interaction is offensive. If the owners have spare money after managing all the intentional neglect inflicted by former demon Columbia-Sussex, they should address it. Columbia Sussex, whose business model is basically extraction of wealth to extent of vaporization, sold successive owners a pile of debris.

However, viewing the building from the perspective of the Cathedral, please notice, and subsequently admire, how the hotel's tight replication actually pronounces the Cathedral's form.
