You can build a residential building with 12 units and not provide parking, and since they are proposing 14, they want relief from that requirement. So 0 parking spots for the entire residential and commercial development. They're proposing to build right to the full lot line with this, even the garden at the back is just a roof for the spa pools that are in the basement level.
The design is interesting, but I'm not sure it's a good fit for Westboro. That block is already boring, lifeless and unable to sustain businesses with the Ashcroft condos and this just lumps more of the same blankness with a soupçon of brutalism. I would prefer to see something more organic and visually light.
